Events

An event is a single interactive video experience that combines your video content, AI knowledge base, and viewer configuration.

Event Types

On-demand — Available for viewing at any time. There's no schedule. Viewers access the event whenever they want and watch at their own pace. Best for SaaS onboarding, product demos, and evergreen educational content.

One-time — Scheduled for a specific date and time. Best for product launches, announcements, or one-off presentations where you want a shared viewing moment.

Recurring — Repeats on a defined pattern. For example, "Every Thursday at 5 PM GMT." Each occurrence is a session within the same event, so configuration and content are shared. Best for weekly onboarding sessions or regular training cadences.

Creating an Event

From your project dashboard, click "New Event" and provide:

• Title — The name viewers will see
• Description — A short summary shown on registration pages
• Type — On-demand, one-time, or recurring
• Schedule — For one-time and recurring events, set the date/time and recurrence pattern
• Completion threshold — The percentage of the video a viewer must watch to be marked as "completed." Defaults to 80%.

Uploading Video

Each event has one video. Upload it directly from the event page. Processing begins automatically and you can track progress through the status indicators:

• Pending — Upload received, waiting for processing
• Processing — Transcription, chaptering, and indexing underway
• Ready — Fully processed and available for viewers
• Failed — Something went wrong (you'll see error details)

Knowledge Base

Each event has its own knowledge base that expands the AI's ability to answer questions beyond the video transcript. You can add:

• PDF files — Product guides, FAQs, manuals
• URLs — Web pages are crawled and indexed
• Plain text — Paste in content directly

Event Limits

Your plan determines how many active events you can run simultaneously:

An "active" event is one that is published and accessible to viewers. Draft or archived events don't count against your limit.
