AI Chat Overview
Keep'em's AI chat is what makes pre-recorded video genuinely interactive. When a viewer has a question, they type it into the chat panel and get a real answer in seconds — not a generic chatbot response, but an answer drawn from your actual content.
How It Works
The AI uses a technique called Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Instead of relying on general knowledge, it searches your specific content — video transcript and uploaded documents — to find relevant information, then generates a natural language response based on what it finds.
This means the AI doesn't make things up. Every answer is grounded in content you've provided. If the AI can't find relevant information, it says so honestly rather than guessing.
Key Capabilities
Instant answers — Most questions are answered in 2–5 seconds. Common questions like "how do I get started?" or "what integrations are supported?" get immediate, accurate responses.
Content-grounded responses — The AI cites your actual content. If a viewer asks about pricing, the AI pulls from your pricing documentation. If they ask about a feature shown at minute 12, the AI references that part of the transcript.
Position awareness — The AI knows where in the video the viewer currently is. If they ask "what did he just say about the API?", the AI looks at the transcript around the current timestamp. See Position Awareness.
Suggested questions — The system generates contextually relevant questions based on the current video position, displayed to viewers as prompts. See Suggested Questions.
Human escalation — When the AI isn't confident, questions are routed to your team with full context. See Human Escalation.
What the AI Is Not
The AI is not a generic chatbot. It doesn't answer questions about the weather or tell jokes. It's specifically trained on your content and stays focused on your video and documents.
The AI also doesn't pretend to be a person. Viewers know they're talking to an AI assistant. When a human takes over a conversation, that transition is clear and seamless.
