Chapters & Navigation

Keep'em automatically generates chapters from your video transcript, giving viewers a table of contents for your content.

Auto-Generated Chapters

During video processing, the system analyzes your transcript for natural topic changes and generates chapters with descriptive titles. A 30-minute product demo might end up with 6–10 chapters covering different features or workflow steps.

Chapters appear as:

  • Timeline markers on the video progress bar, so viewers can see the structure at a glance
  • A chapter list that viewers can browse and click to jump directly to a section

Why Chapters Matter

Chapters transform a monolithic video into a navigable resource. A viewer who returns to rewatch the section on integrations doesn't have to scrub through 20 minutes to find it — they click the "Integrations" chapter and jump right there.

For analytics, chapters also help you understand which sections of your video are most (and least) engaging.

Editing Chapters

You can customize auto-generated chapters from the event editor:

  • Rename chapters for clarity
  • Adjust chapter start times
  • Add chapters that the auto-detection missed
  • Remove chapters that aren't useful
