Watching Experience
The viewing experience combines a high-quality video player with an integrated chat panel. Everything a viewer needs is in one interface.
The Player
Keep'em streams video using HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), which adapts quality to the viewer's connection. On Growth and Scale plans, videos stream in up to 4K Ultra HD.
The player includes standard controls (play, pause, seek, volume, fullscreen) plus:
- Chapter markers — Visual indicators on the timeline showing topic boundaries. Click to jump to a specific section.
- Subtitles toggle — Show or hide auto-generated subtitles.
- Playback speed — Adjust between 0.5x and 2x speed.
The Chat Panel
The chat panel sits alongside the video (or below on mobile). It's always available and includes:
- Message input — Type a question at any time during playback
- Suggested questions — Contextual prompts that update as the video progresses
- Message history — The full conversation thread for this session
The chat panel stays visible and responsive across all screen sizes. On mobile, it appears below the video player to maximize video viewing area while keeping chat easily accessible.
Session Tracking
Every time a viewer opens the video, a new viewing session is created. The platform tracks:
- When the session started
- How far they got (highest point reached, not just current position)
- Total watch time for this session
- Chat interactions during this session
- Whether they completed the video in this session
If a viewer watches 10 minutes today and comes back tomorrow, that's two sessions. Their progress is cumulative — the platform remembers how far they got overall.
